Pottery is basically made out of soil, which is divided into four (in terms of the soil's type): Clayware, Stoneware, Earthenware, and Porcelain. The Suite, Pottery, is consisted of four characteristic pieces - each piece has programmatic subtitles, named by the soil's type. The use of Clarinet-family (Ordinary Clarinet in Bb, Bass Clarinet, Basset Horn, and the combination of these three) and various pitch contents (Whole-tone, Pentatonic, Octatonic, and Chromatic scale pitches) is determined by depiction of the subtitles.
  Non-conventional performance practices for the instruments are employed in order to depict the decoration on the pottery. Some coloring effects (made by changing the dynamic marking and fingering) and multi-phonic sound (produced by humming, unusual fingering and lip-pressure) are also adopted to represent the unique color of the pottery (Total 13 Pages).
